'Our Common Lineage Of Wandering Stardust'

'Our Common Lineage Of Wandering Stardust'

I love to go into a dreamy other realm when I paint. I work on many pieces at once, flitting and moving between them. Many layers are built up, putting the piece aside to dry between attentions.
The next day I photograph the work. It amazes me to see that unintended forms and figures somehow emerged through the process. Is this channelled art? For example, here in this new piece there is an ethereal human shaped being floating in the middle of a galaxy. The composition of this relates to infinity, dark energy, gravity and the multiverse.
This is one from my Galaxy series.
Thanks to Jill Tarter and NPR’s TED Radio Hour for the inspiration. I was listening to that podcast around the time when I painted this.
